L'Alzina de Merola is located in Baix Berguedà, in a green and pleasant environment, close to the Llobregat river. Around the house you will find the typical forest of the area, with oaks, white pine, black pine, boxwood, rosemary, and, of course, in season, all kinds of mushrooms!
In terms of wildlife, it is relatively easy to see wild boars, eagles, badgers, squirrels and, of late, roe deer!. And obviously the abundant birds of the area, such as the puffin, the swallow, the robin, the bee-eater, the owls...
From the Alzina you can take all kinds of local walks: to the gorges of the Riera de Merola, to the Sant Ramón fountain, or to the Llobregat River, or to the Navàs vineyards.
